PROJECT

A place to connect people and the community

SETTLE International is a large-scale student residence founded as the International Village Project
to promote internationalization and regional development around Kyushu university.
In cooperation with Kyushu university, Itoshima city, Nishi-nippon City Bank, Nishi-nippon City Financial Holdings and Fukuoka Bank, we are making efforts to create an environment for more communication and better understanding between international students and local community by providing accommodation where they can live safely and learn in a better environment.

Itoshima City was established in January 2010 with a population of approximately 100,000 people. The town now attracts tourists from both inside Japan and from many other countries across the planet.

The city is located centrally, and to the south are the Sefuri Mountains and to the north is the beautiful coastline which faces the Genkai Sea.

The Itoshima brand is popular and well respected. It is especially recognised for the quality of its agricultural and seafood products.

In the centre of the city, the JR Chikushi Line, National Route 202 and Nishikyushu Expressway run from east and west, and it takes only 30 minutes to reach Kyushu's busiest downtown area; the centre of Fukuoka City, The very busy Fukuoka Airport can be reached in approximately 45 minutes.

In May 2010, Kyushu University, which is located in the northeastern part of the city, completed a cooperation agreement and now conducts about 100 collaborative projects each year.

Following the completion of the integration and relocation to the Ito Campus, our city is also working with Fukuoka Prefecture, Fukuoka City, and the business community as a whole to create a base for an academic research city centred around Kyushu University.

There is a steady increase in overseas visitors to our city, and we have responded to this by promoting the "Cultivation of Multicultural Coexistence" project which is designed to offer a very enjoyable and comfortable experience.

At the same time, we hope that Kyushu University's overseas students and researchers will also enjoy their stay with us and hopefully lead to regional internationalisation, and enhance cultural exchanges with local residents.

"Itoshima City Kyushu University International Village" will be established on the adjacent site of the Ito Campus.
We are pleased to report that Kyushu University, Settle Co., Ltd, Nishi-Nihon City Bank, Nishi-Nishon Financial Holdings, Fukuoka Bank, and Itoshima City are all working closely together to form the "Regional Internationalisation Agreement".

A big step forward to "internationalizing" our regions will be the opening of the "Settle International”

We have signed a partnership agreement with Itoshima City, Kyushu University, Nishi-Nihon City Bank, Nishi-Nihon Financial Group and Fukuoka Bank, and are participating in the "Itoshima City Kyushu University International Village" concept. As part of the concept, we have responded to the internationalisation of the region and promoted the creation of a living space for Kyushu University's international students, and this time, the first step, "SETTLE International (Settle International dormitory 240 rooms) "has been completed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support.

For many years, our company has been developing business such as sports facilities and restaurant management, including the apartment "Settle Ito" with meals for students of Kyushu University here in Itoshima. With the corporate philosophy of "creating the excitement of life" while always being close to the hearts of our customers, we will not only provide buildings and facilities, but we will also place importance on creating a comfortable space and environment, and sincere services.

We would like to make use of the know-how we have cultivated so far to provide a place where international students can fully engage in academic study and research, and also enjoy interaction with local people.
